The original o2 sensors on the Emiras are a cheaply made/sourced item that Lotus uses because they are made by one of the many company's that Geely owns (Geely owns a majority of Lotus Cars) These sensors have proven to be hit or miss on quality and seem to be prone to going haywire when they get wet.
We have found a proper Bosch o2 sensor solution to replace these and solve the pesky o2 sensor codes that can throw your car into limp mode and cause the annoying check engine lights. These sensors are also about 1/2 the cost of the cheap oem ones!
These Bosch o2 sensors are a direct fit but the wire harness is longer so it will need to be coiled and zip-tied up away from direct exhaust contact. DO NOT attempt to shorten the harness!
